From Friday 5 to Sunday 7 March 2021, on stage 3 shows produced by the International Theater Institute - Italy.
Friday 5 March (7 pm) the weekend opens with the live streaming of Il Cantico dei Cantici per lingua madre with Roberta Quarta and Simonetta Rotundo, flanked by the music of the Montesardo Ensemble composed by soprano Ludovica Casilli, mezzo-soprano Kairi Kosk and lutenists Livio Grasso and Luca Tarantino, who coordinates the group.
The performance is based on the repertoire of composers Salomone Rossi Hebreo (Madrigals, dances and motets from the first book of Madrigals published in 1600), Girolamo Melcarne known as Il Montesardo (Amphiteatrum angelicum, 1612 ) and Guglielmo Ebreo da Pesaro (De practica seu arte tripudii).
Among the most mysterious and secret texts of the wisdom tradition, present in the Jewish and Christian Bible, the unceasing love song of the beloved towards his beloved and of the beloved towards his beloved, "absolute song of love and knowledge" the Canticle (in Hebrew Shir hashirim, in Latin Canticum canticorum), already says in its own name what it is: the most sublime of all songs.
A sublime that runs, intact, the rewriting in neo-Salentinian, essentially centered on the sonorous strength of the language.
The free streaming starts here at 7 pm. Duration 90 minutes.
