In the past two years, the Royal Theatre Zetski dom performed the leading role in the ADNICH project, co-funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Programme, and completed various activities together with the partners from Italy and Albania: International Theatre Institute Italy, University of Salento, University of Arts and the NGO Qendra Event.
The goal of the project was to create a South Adriatic network between Italy, Albania and Montenegro, which can enhance the immaterial heritage of the three countries through art and theatre, by dialoguing the different expressive elements of anthropic landscape for the creation of innovative and cross-border contents.
So far, the project achieved its goals of audience development and creation of original theatrical contents, which were performed in the 3 Programme areas with remarkable results in terms of public and international artists’ and actors’ involvement. The final activity of the project is the realization of the “Adriatic Ionian Festival of Theatre on Intangible Heritage”, in the month of March 2021.The Festival was originally planned to be performed as an exchange of the plays created during the project, but due to COVID-19 situation the Festival had to be reorganized and performed online through the YouTube festival channel from 1st to 29th March 2021.
The Festival will start on 1st of March with the opening conference and it is conceived as an opportunity for each Partner to display and promote the results achieved during the ADNICH Project. Three days will be dedicated to each Country, as follows:
- 5th to 8th of March for the Italian Partners’ productions and conference
- 12th to 14th of March for Zetski dom’s productions
